Tutti Frutti Ice Cream

  • 2 quarts cream
  • 1 lb sugar, pulverized
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 lb preserved fruits, cut up
Take the cream and add to it the pulverized sugar and eggs. Mix completely together. Place on the fire, stirring constantly, and just bring to boiling point. Remove from the fire immediately and continue to stir until nearly cold. Flavor with vanilla extract. Put in the freezer. When half frozen, mix thoroughly into it the preserved fruits, in equal parts of peaches, apricots, cherries, pineapples, etc. These fruits are to be cut up into small pieces and mixed well with the frozen cream. Freeze.
