Orange Ice Cream

  • 1/4 box gelatin
  • 1 pint milk
  • 3 pints cream
  • Orange peel, grated
  • 1 large orange
  • 2-1/2 cups powdered sugar
Dissolve the gelatin in the milk by setting it in a vessel of hot water.

Rub the orange rind in a little of the sugar you sweeten the cream with and put a little grated peel in the milk.

Squeeze the juice from the orange and stir in the cream.

When the gelatin is entirely dissolved, stir in the powdered sugar, then add all to the cream. Stir constantly until cold.

Freeze.
