Caramel Sauce

  • 4 Tbsps white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 1 pint cold water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Flavoring
  • 2 Tbsps brandy (optional)
Put a saucepan on the stove. When it begins to get hot, place the white sugar into it and 1 Tbsp water. Stir continuously for 3-4 minutes, until all the water evaporates. Watch it carefully until it becomes a delicate brown color. Have ready a pint of cold water and a cup of sugar mixed with some flavoring. Add into the saucepan with the browned sugar. Let it simmer for approximately ten minutes (be patient, you rascal). Add the brandy, if your little heart desires.
