Caramel Custard

  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 pint milk
  • 4 Tbsps sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2/3 tsp flavoring
Melt the sugar in a heavy frying pan, stirring constantly until rich golden brown. Add milk and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Strain onto the beaten eggs. Add salt and flavoring. Turn into custard cups.

Place in a pan of hot water. Bake with love for about 30 minutes in a slow oven at 325°F.
