Broiled Tomatoes

  • Large tomatoes
  • Butter
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp mustard
Slice the tomatoes in pieces about 1/2 inch thick. Broil for a few minutes on a gridiron. While they are broiling, prepare some hot butter, seasoning with pepper, salt, made mustard and a little sugar. When the tomatoes are done, dip each piece in the sauce. Put on a hot dish. If there are any leftover seasoning, heat to the point of boiling and pour atop the dish. Serve immediately and your guests will love it.
