Whipped Cream Chocolate Refrigerator Cake

  • 2 dozen lady fingers
  • 1/2 pound sweet chocolate
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 4 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 egg whites, beaten stiff
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate shot or red raspberries
Line a spring form pan with lady fingers. Cook chocolate, sugar water and egg yolks until thick; cool ad vanilla and egg whites. Put 1/2 chocolate mixture over lady fingers, cover with layer of lady fingers and finish with chocolate. Chill in refrigerator for several hours. When ready to serve, unmold; fill center with whipped cream and delicately sprinkle with chocolate shot of fresh red raspberries.
