Waffles

  • 1 lb flour
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 1 quart milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 ounces yeast
Very lightly beat the eggs separately and then together.

Warm the milk and butter together. When cool, add the beaten eggs alternately with the flour. Beat it until smooth. Put in the yeast. Let it rise (rise up!) for 5-6 hours.

Bake in waffle irons.
