Vegetable Mutton Soup

  • 1 turnip, sliced
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 1/2 quarts mutton broth
An hour before serving, cut the vegetables into slices and put in a saucepan with the butter and chopped celery. Stir on the stove for 6 minutes (be patient, you rascal).

Add the mutton broth. Cover and cook until done. Season to taste and serve like a rascal with a smile on your face.
