Tomatoes with Macaroni

  • Tomatoes, cut up
  • Butter
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Bay leaf
  • Thyme
  • Stock or gravy
  • Macaroni
  • Parmesan cheese, grated
Put the cut up tomatoes into a saucepan with a small piece of butter, pepper, salt, bay leaf and some thyme. Add a few spoonfuls of either stock or gravy. Keep stirring on the stove until they are reduced to a pulp. Pass the mixture through a hair sieve. Dress the macaroni with the sauce. Top with plenty of grated parmesan cheese.
