Sweet Pickle
  • 3 quarts vinegar
  • 4-5 lbs sugar
  • 1 ounce cinnamon
  • 1 ounce allspice
  • 1 ounce mace
  • 1/2 ounce clove
  • 14 lbs damsons or peeled peaches
Boil the sugar and spices in the vinegar. Pour all over the fruit.
