Sweet Pickle Peaches
- 1 lb peaches
- 1/4 lb sugar
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 tsp mixed spices (cloves, mace & allspice)
Powder the cloves, mace and allspice. Mix completely together.
Add sugar, vinegar and the mixed spices to the peaches. Boil all together. When the fruit is done, take out from the syrup and lay on dishes. Let the syrup cook through and through.
Put the fruit in jars and pour on the syrup. Cover when cool.
