Sugar Ginger Snaps
- 4 tablespoons lard
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water (scant)
- Flour enough to roll
- 2 teaspoons ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon soda dissolved in warm water
Warm the shortening and sugar and stir in the water and ginger; then the soda and add the flour last. Roll out very thin and bake in a quick oven.
