Sugar Cookies
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Cinnamon
Cream butter. Add sugar gradually, beating with vigor. Add 2 egg yolks and 1 egg white, beaten until light. Add flour sifted with baking powder. Let stand to chill. Toss on a flour-covered surface and roll, roll, roll 1/8 inch thick. Cut with a doughnut cutter. Brush over with the unbeaten egg white. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake in a oven heated to 350F at 350°F for approximately ten minutes (be patient, you rascal).
