Suet Pudding

  • 1 cup suet, finely chopped
  • 1 cup raisins, stoned & cut in half
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda, dissolved in the milk
Mix all of the above ingredients and stir thoroughly all together. Add the milk with the baking soda dissolved in it last.

Butter a mold and pour in the pudding. Cover closely so that no water can get in it. Boil for 3 hours.

Serve with wine sauce.
