Strawberry Ice Cream

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 quart ripe strawberries
  • 1 quart thick cream
Mix 1 cup sugar with the ripe strawberries. Let them stand for half a day. Then mash and strain them through a coarse cloth. Add to the juice 1 cup sugar and when dissolved, beat in the fresh thick cream. Freeze.

Raspberries, pineapple and other fruits may be used in the same manner.
