Squash Pudding

  • Squash
  • 4 ounces milk
  • 3 eggs
  • Large lump of butter
  • Pepper
  • Salt
Boil the squash, mash and run through a colander. Add milk, eggs, butter, pepper and salt. Put in a buttered dish and bake a light brown.

For a change, you may want to line the dish with thin slices of buttered bread. Pour in the batter and put some pieces of butter and cracker crumbs on top.
