Spiced Currants
- 7 lbs currants
- 4 lbs sugar
- 1 pint cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon, ground
- 1 tsp cloves
Mix all of the ingredients together and put into a pot. Boil until the currants are soft. Skim out the fruit and lay on a dish. Boil down the syrup until it is thick. Put the fruit back into the syrup so as to heat it all through.
Seal it hot in glass jars. Set in a cool, dark place.
