Scalloped Potatoes with Cheese

  • 1 quart potatoes, cooked and sliced
  • 3 Tbsp cornstarch
  • Few grains paprika, mustard and salt
  • 1 1/2 cup cheese, grated
  • 3 Tbsps butter, melted
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • Bread crumbs
Make a sauce of the butter, cornstarch, seasonings and milk. When boiling, add the cheese and stir until dissolved. Fill a buttered baking dish with the potatoes that have been mixed with the cheese sauce. Cover with bread crumbs and bake in oven heated to 350F for 40 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
