Rice Waffles

  • 1 2/3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tsps baking powder
  • 2 Tbsps sugar
  • 2/3 cup cooked rice
  • 2 eggs, whites & yolks separated
  • 1 1/3 cups milk
  • 1 Tbsp melted butter
Sift together the salt, flour and baking powder. Add sugar, cooked rice, egg yolks and part of the milk. Beat until smooth. Add the remaining milk and melted butter. Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.

Bake in a waffle iron as directed.
