Recipes Featuring Spinach

• Asparagus Sauce
  1 bunch of green asparagus salt 1 ounce of fresh butter 1 small bunch of parsley 3 or 4 green onions 1 large lump of sugar 4 tablespoonfuls of white stock
• Hodge-Podge
  1 pound of shin of beef 2 quarts of water 1/2 pint of table beer 1 onion 1 carrot 1 turnip 1 head of celery salt and pepper to taste thickening of butter and flour
• Green Lasagna
  Vegetables 1/2 lb nettles 1 lb swiss chard Sauce 1/4 cup oil 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 2 cups milk 2 oz porcini mushrooms, dried 1 tsp salt 1 tsp oregano 1 tsp savory leaves 1 tsp marjoram
