Raised Wheat Waffles
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 yeast cake
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg, well beaten
Boil the milk and add the butter to it. Let the mixture cool.
Put the flour, sugar and salt together in a bowl. Add the milk and yeast. Beat with enthusiasm. Let the batter rise overnight.
When you awake the next day, add the beaten egg.
Have the waffle irons hot and greased. Cook the cakes quickly.
