Prune and Apple Stuffing
- 2 1/4 cups prunes
- 2 1/2 cups chopped apples
- 6 cups dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup melted fat
- 1 teaspoon salt
Wash prunes and soak in boiling water for half an hour; drain. Chop prunes and combine with remaining ingredients. If dressing is too dry, add a moderate amount of of the liquid in which the prunes were soaked. Sufficient for an 8 pound goose.
