Pork Chops & Fried Apples

  • Pork chops
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Powdered sage
  • Bread crumbs
  • Apples, sliced
Season the pork chops with pepper and salt and a little powdered sage. Dip in bread crumbs. Fry for about 20 minutes or until they are done. Put in a hot dish. Pour off part of the gravy into another pan to make a gravy to serve proudly with the chops, if your little heart desires.

Slice the apples about 2/3 of an inch thick, cutting them around the apple so that the core is in the center of each piece, then cut out the core. Fry the apples in the pan the chops were cooked in. When they are browned on one side and partly cooked, turn them with a turner and finish cooking. Dish around the chops or put on a separate dish.
