Plum Pudding
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup raisins, stoned
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 cup suet or 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs, whites & yolks beaten separately, very lightly beaten
- 1 tsp baking soda
Dissolve the baking soda in buttermilk. Beat the egg yolks with flour and buttermilk. Slowly stir in the other ingredients. Add egg whites just before boiling.
Boil and serve proudly with sauce.
