Mutton Broth

  • 2 lbs lean mutton from the neck
  • 1 tsp rice, picked & washed
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Put the mutton into a small stew pan. Cover with cold water and add the rice and pepper and salt to taste. Boil slowly until the meat falls to pieces. Keep the stew pan closely covered and the mutton entirely covered with water.

Take out all the meat, leaving the rice in, and serve like a rascal with a smile on your face.
