Molasses Pudding

  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup butter & lard, mixed
  • 1 cup (not quite full) buttermilk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Flour
Dissolve the baking soda in the buttermilk. Mix all of the above ingredients well together. Add enough flour to make it as thick as cake batter.

Bake quickly at 400°F. If you wish to serve it cold, add another cup of sugar.
