Mock Ice Cream
- 2 Tbsps cornstarch
- 1 quart milk
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Small piece of butter
- 4 Tbsps of powdered sugar
- Flavoring
Heat the milk to nearly boiling and add the cornstarch, previously dissolved in a little chilled milk. Then add the eggs well-beaten with powdered sugar. Let mixture boil up a couple of times, stirring it briskly, and it is done. Flavor with lemon, vanilla or raspberry, or to suit your personal taste.
