Liquid Brandy Sauce
- 3 Tbsps sugar
- 1 cup water
- 6 whole cloves
- Piece of cinnamon stick
- Yellow rind of a lemon, cut very thin
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 cup brandy
Brown the sugar on the stove. Add water, cloves, cinnamon stick and the yellow lemon rind. Let the sauce boil. Strain while hot then pour it into a sauce bowl containing the lemon juice and brandy. Serve warm.
