Lemon Sherbet

  • 2 quarts water
  • 4 large lemons
  • 1 1/2 lb sugar
  • 6 egg whites
Rub some lumps of sugar on the lemon rind. Powder some of the sugar, beat it with the egg whites and mix with the lemonade when it begins to freeze.
