Jumbo Pickle

  • 1 head of cabbage, finely chopped
  • Salt
  • 1 onion, finely minced
  • Pepper
  • Celery seed
  • Vinegar
Sprinkle the chopped cabbage with salt. Set aside for 12 hours. Mix the minced onion with the cabbage. Drain through a colander. Add a good amount of pepper and celery seed. Put in a jar and cover with vinegar. This should be ready to use in 3 days.
