Fried Veal Chops

  • Veal chops
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Bread or cracker crumbs
  • Drippings or lard & butter
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • Cream or milk
Sprinkle some pepper and salt over the veal chops. Dip them in beaten egg and bread crumbs. Fry in drippings or a mixture of lard and butter.

To make the gravy, add flour to the gravy they were fried in and then add cream or milk. Season to taste with pepper and salt. Boil up.

Serve hot with the gravy in a separate dish.

*This dish is very good served with a few fresh tomatoes, sliced and fried in the same grease the cutlets were fried in and all dished on the same platter.
