Curry of Mutton

  • Mutton
  • 1 medium sized onion, sliced
  • 2 ounces butter
  • Curry powder
  • Salt
  • 1 cup cream
Put the sliced onion with the butter in a saucepan. Let it cook slowly for 5 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Cut the mutton in pieces. Sprinkle curry powder over them, also a little salt. Just before putting in the saucepan, pour a part of a cup of sweet cream over them. Let it simmer gently for half an hour so that the ingredients can become thoroughly mixed.
