Chocolate Caramel Brownies

  • 1 14 oz. package of caramels
  • 12 oz choc chips
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 (8 oz German chocolate cake mix
  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
1. Combine caramels and 1/3 cup of evaporated milk. Stir while melting.
2. Combine cake mix, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, margarine, and nuts. Mix and press 1/2 of the result in a 13 inch x 9 inch pan.
3. Bake at 350 F, 6-8 minutes.
4. Pour melted caramel over. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Put other 1/2 of cake mix on top.
5. Bake at 350 F, 15-18 minutes.
