Cheap Ginger Cakes
  • 3 pints flour
  • 1 large spoonful lard
  • 2 large spoonfuls ground ginger
  • 2 tsps baking soda
  • 1 pint molasses
Dissolve the baking soda in the molasses. Add the rest of the ingredients. Bake.
