Caramel Ice Cream

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 pint of milk
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • Vanilla
  • 2 quarts of cream
One-half cup flour and 1 pint of milk mixed smoothly, 2 large eggs beaten together, 1 cup sugar; cook in farina kettle; put 1 cup granulated sugar in skillet, melt over fire until perfectly smooth, and stir into hot custard. Let the whole mixture get cold, then flavor with vanilla, add two quarts of cream, and freeze. This will make 3 quarts when frozen.
