Caramel
- 4 ounces brown sugar
- 2 ounces water
Mix the brown sugar and 2 ounces of water in a stew pan. Stew over a hot fire until it burns a little. Make it of the consistency of thin molasses. If too thick, add a moderate amount of boiling water. Bottle and cork, ready for use.
