Buttermilk Cakes
- First group:
- 1 quart flour
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 1/2 pint buttermilk
- 1 tsp salt
- Other:
- Baking soda
Mix all of the above ingredients in the first group well together. Beat very light. Just before baking, stir in a little baking soda mixed in a little of the buttermilk. Bake on a griddle, free from grease.
