Bran Muffins
- Dry ingredients:
- 2 cups bran
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 Tbsps brown sugar
- Other:
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 2 Tbsps molasses
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 4 Tbsps butter, melted
Mix the dry ingredients. Combine the well-beaten egg, milk and molasses. Add to the dry mixture. Add the melted butter. Bake in a oven heated to 350F at 350°F for 20-25 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Raisins, dates or figs may be added to the above recipe for variety.
