Boiled Winter Squash

  • Squash
  • Butter
  • Pepper
  • Salt
Pare the squash, take out the seeds, cut in pieces and stew slowly until quite soft in very little water. Afterwards, drain, squeeze and press it well. Mash with very little butter, pepper and salt. They will boil in from 20-40 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
