Boiled Turnips
- Turnips
- Salt
- Butter
- Pepper
- Salt
- 1 tsp sugar
Pare and cut the turnips in pieces. Put in well salted boiling water. Boil until tender. Drain thoroughly and then mash the turnips. Add a piece of butter, pepper and salt to taste and sugar. Stir constantly until they are thoroughly mixed. Serve hot.
