Beef Goulash

  • 3 lbs round steak, cut in inch cubes
  • 3 onions, sliced
  • 3 potatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 tsp beef extract
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
Put the butter in a stew pan. Set it on the stove and fry the onions. Add the meat and cook until brown.

Dissolve the beef extract in water and add to the meat in the stew pan. Cover closely and cook slowly until the meat is tender.

Add the seasonings. Place the potatoes in the pan, on top of the meat. Cover and cook until the potatoes are tender. Add the cream and simmer for 5 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
