Baked Virginia Ham
- Virginia ham
- 1 quart sherry wine
- Powdered sugar
Soak a Virginia ham in cold water overnight, then put in a large kettle, cover with cold water, bring to the boiling point and simmer for 3 hours. The ham is done when the skin is easy to loosen. Remove the skin place the ham in another pot with 1 quart sherry wine; bake in oven at 375°F., basting continuously. After 20 minutes, dust the top with powdered sugar and bake until brown.
