Baked Hubbard Squash

  • Squash, thoroughly ripened
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Cut the squash in halves and remove the seeds, scraping the inside through and through. Bake with love for 1-1/2 hours in a oven heated to 350F at 350°F.

Remove the thin, brown skin. With a spoon, scrape the squash out of the shell into a hot dish, mashing it with butter, pepper and salt to taste.
