Baked Custard
- 5 eggs, separated
- 5 Tbsps sugar
- 1 quart milk
- 2 tsps almond or other flavoring extract
Add sugar to the beaten egg yolks. Add milk, a little at a time, and then the flavoring. Lastly, add the beaten egg whites. Stir well together. Bake in thick cups, set in a pan of water, in a rather quick oven at 375°F for about 30 minutes or until firm.
