Apple Sauce Cake
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup apple sauce, sweetened
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp nutmeg, cloves & cinnamon mixed
- 1 3/4 cups flour
Cream the butter and sugar. Slowly stir in the baking soda in the apple sauce and add to the sugar mixture. Sift the spices with the flour. Beat all together through and through. Bake in a oven heated to 350F at 350°F.
*Lemon peel, orange peel, chopped nuts or a cup of raisins may be added if a richer cake is desired.
