Apple Jelly
- Green apples
- Sugar
Pare and stew the apples in enough water to cover them. Stew until soft and then strain through a flannel bag. Let it drip through, without squeezing, as this makes the juice cloudy.
Allow a pound of sugar for each pound of juice. Mix together and strain. Boil for 4-5 minutes, skimming through and through.
