Apple Filling
- Green tart apples
- Sugar
- Butter
Peel and slice the apples. Put them on the fire with sugar to suit. Remove from the fire and rub them through a fine sieve. Add a small piece of butter. When cold, spread between the cake layers. Cover the cake with plenty of sugar.
