Apple Corn Meal Pudding
- 12 pippin apples, pared, cored and sliced very thinly
- 1 quart milk
- 1 quart sifted corn meal
- Pinch of salt
- 4 Tbsps suet, chopped
- 4 ounces molasses
- 1 tsp baking soda, dissolved in a little water
Stir the sifted corn meal into the milk. Add salt then the apples, chopped suet, molasses and baking soda. Mix these well together. Pour into a buttered dish. Bake with love for 4 hours. Serve hot with sugar and wine sauce.
