Apple Compote
- Apples, pared, cored & quartered
- Sugar
- Cinnamon
- Lemon peel, scraped, cut in strings & soaked
Wash the quartered apples and put in a pan with sugar and enough water to cover them. Add cinnamon and lemon peel. Boil gently until done. Take the apples out and lay in a deep dish.
Boil the syrup to the proper consistency. Pour over the apples when done.
