Apple Charlotte

  • 1/2 box gelatin
  • 8 medium sized apples, pared
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 Tbsps lemon juice
  • Whipped cream
Soak the gelatin for 2 hours in 2 small cups of cold water. Steam the pared apples. When they are tender, press through the colander. Add sugar and lemon juice. Mix the gelatin with the hot apples and stir until they are cold. Set in the refrigerator to become hard to the touch. Serve very cold with whipped cream.
